Bethesda has announced that Arkane Studios' Dishonored 2 will launch on 11 November for PS4, Xbox One and PC. The sequel to the acclaimed first person stealth action game was announced during Bethesda's E3 2015 press conference.

Gameplay will debut during the firm's 2016 press conference taking place in the early hours of Monday, 13 June (UK time), but in the meantime Game Informer has exclusive coverage in its latest issue and will be divulging details over the month ahead.

The announcement on Bethesda's site reads: "Reprise your role as a supernatural assassin in Dishonored 2. Play your way in a world where mysticism and industry collide. Will you choose to play as Empress Emily Kaldwin or the royal protector, Corvo Attano? Will you make your way through the game unseen, make full use of its brutal combat system or use a blend of both?

"How will you combine your character's unique set of powers, weapons and gadgets to eliminate your enemies? The story responds to your choices, leading to intriguing outcomes as you play through each of the game's hand-crafted missions."

Released in 2012, Dishonored became something of an instant cult classic thanks to its tightly-developed stealth mechanics, its richly realised steampunk world and its memorable setting. Better than expected sales and critical acclaim led Bethesda and Arkane to a sequel.
