Fromm and Oma's Pride Dog Food Recalled: Check These Lot Codes After 3 Dog Illness Reports
Dog owners should match product names, lot codes and best-by dates before feeding affected Fromm or Oma's Pride products

Dog owners in the United States and Canada should check specific Fromm and Oma's Pride products after two separate recalls. This recall affects products sold in the US and Canada.
UK readers are advised to check whether these specific products are sold in the UK. If you are unsure, check the brand's UK website or contact the Food Standards Agency. UK consumers should always check local recall notices, as product formulations, lot codes and regulatory jurisdictions differ.
The recalls cover two Fromm canned dog foods and one lot of Oma's Pride frozen raw chicken food. The US Food and Drug Administration posted Fromm's recall on 21 August and updated the Oma's Pride notice on 17 August. Three dog illnesses relate to the Oma's Pride recall, while Fromm has received no reports of illness or injury.
Which Fromm Cans To Check
Fromm Family Foods recalled 3,852 cases of Turkey Pâté Wet Dog Food and 1,973 cases of Diner Classics Milo's Meatloaf Pâté Wet Dog Food. The company acted after complaints flagged possible metal contamination. The affected products reached neighbourhood pet stores and online outlets across the US and Canada.
Owners should check the product name, UPC, lot code and best-by marking before feeding any matching cans. Fromm Turkey Pâté Wet Dog Food comes in a 12.2 oz can with UPC 072705118700. The affected lot code is EP2A3306 551006, with Best By 032029.
Fromm Diner Classics Milo's Meatloaf Pâté Wet Dog Food comes in a 12.5 oz can with UPC 072705132324. The affected lot code is EP2A3306 551029, also with Best By 032029. Fromm says no other products fall under this recall.
The company says it identified the error and introduced corrective measures to prevent another incident. Owners should stop feeding the affected cans and return them to the retailer. The FDA says dogs that swallow metal may choke, vomit or lose their appetite.
They may also develop lethargy or stomach discomfort. Sharp pieces can cut the mouth or gastrointestinal tract. Larger amounts can cause gastrointestinal upset, partial blockage or intestinal obstruction.
Which Oma's Pride Batch To Check
Oma's Pride of Avon, Connecticut, recalled one lot of Woof Complete Canine Chicken Recipe after an FDA sample tested positive for Salmonella. The frozen raw dog food comes in a 6 lb bag containing 12 individually wrapped 8 oz portions. Owners should look for lot number BB012729 and item number F-WOOFC-6.
The package carries UPC 8 7938400145 9. The company manufactured the lot on 27 January 2026. It lists 27 January 2029 as the best-by date.
The recall covers 639 bags. Oma's Pride shipped the affected lot from 12 February through 15 May to retailers, wholesalers and direct-to-consumer buyers. The product reached Arizona, California, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
No other Oma's Pride products, sizes or lots fall under the recall. The FDA investigated after receiving a consumer complaint. It collected a product sample, tested it and found Salmonella.
The complaint has three associated dog illnesses. The updated FDA notice says no one has reported a human illness to date.
What Owners Should Do
Owners should stop feeding the recalled Oma's Pride food immediately and dispose of it safely. The company also tells customers not to sell or donate the affected product. Consumers should wash and sanitise bowls and storage containers that touched the food.
They should also clean utensils and wash their hands thoroughly after handling the recalled product. Dogs with Salmonella may develop lethargy, diarrhoea or vomiting. Some dogs may develop fever, reduced appetite or abdominal pain.
Infected animals can carry the bacteria without appearing ill. Owners should contact a veterinarian if a dog develops symptoms after eating either recalled product. Veterinarians advise owners to monitor for symptoms including vomiting, diarrhoea, lethargy and reduced appetite, and to contact a vet immediately if these develop.
Fromm customers can call 1-800-325-6331 or email [email protected]. Oma's Pride customers can call 1-800-678-OMAS or email [email protected].
