10:49: All we are listening the past fe minutes is UNSOLD, UNSOLD and UNSOLD.... No teams are looking to do any business as there are hardly any communication from the team officails for the auction of the players in the final session on Wednesday.

10:47: Capped Indian players Mohammad Kaif and Hemang Badani are also not attracting any attention from the teams as the duo were left UNSOLD.

The teams should focus on Indian players as the starting line up needs to have seven Indian and only four overseas players.

9:20: SOLD...!!! Varun Aaron is sold to RCB for Rs 20m. Delhi once again rejects the option to retain the player.

9:19: RCB and Sunrisers are set for bidding war in landing Varun Aaron.

9:17: The opening bid of Rs 20m comes from CSK and they manage to land the left-arm bowler. Delhi rejects the option of RTM, leaving Chennai to land Ashish Nehra.

9:16: Balaji is finally SOLD...!!! for Rs 18m. Ashis Nehra follows him for the auction.

9:15: The bidding is going on for Lakshmipathy Balaji now. RCB and King XI are fighting for the bowler.

I believe that one will need to be very flexible in this auction and you cannot go with too many set plans.

3:38: A new feature, Right to Match has been added to the existing player auction system for the IPL this year. Depending on the number of players retained before the auction, teams will be allowed to redeem their RTM when the players go under the hammer.

3:36: One of the changes in this year is that the uncapped players are also made available during the auction.

3:33: The tables have set for the big occasion at the ITC Royal Gardenia, Bangalore.

The player auction for the 2014 season starts at 4am GMT/9:30am IST/11pm ET on 12 February, and our LIVE blog will update you on which players are signed by the franchisees and for how much.

The auction for the superstars in world cricket takes place at ITC Royal Gardenia in Bangalore, India.

The list of 514 players made available for the auction includes 219 capped players and 87 overseas (capped and uncapped) players.
