Iraq: Isis executes five men for smuggling people into 'lands of disbelief'

Members of the Islamic State (Isis/Daesh) terror group have killed five men accused of smuggling people out from the territories controlled by the group. Furat Province, a division of Isis in western Iraq, killed the men for allegedly smuggling people from IS-held territory into "lands of disbelief", the SITE Intelligence Group said.

It is believed the group also posted photos of the execution on social media. Isis has been fighting against a military offensive that has driven terrorists out from most of the territories they previously controlled and has resulted in the arrest of hundreds of militants.

Iraqi forces recaptured the city of Fallujah, an Isis stronghold, in June.

The military fight has also prompted hundreds of Daesh militants to flee the city amid reports they were disguising themselves as refugees as they tried to leave.

Iraqi forces have been screening men and teenage boys leaving Fallujah, while the Iraqi militaryconfirmed some of the militants were also posing as female refugees to get out of Fallujah.
