Overview

The table toppers of the current edition of the Caribbean Premier League with 11 points from seven games, the Jamaica Tallawahs come into this clash on the back of a 19-run win over defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders on 18 July.

The Tallawahs outfit have won three games on the trot and will be full of confidence on 20 July at Sabina Park. West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell was the star for the Tallawahs in the last game putting up an impressive performance with both bat and ball to take home the player of the match award.

Russell's 44 off just 24 balls helped his team post 158 in the first innings. He followed that with a four-wicket haul which blew the opposition away, cementing his place as one of the best all-rounders currently playing especially in the shorter formats of the game.

Skipper Chris Gayle will look to come good with the bat after failing in the last two games. The Tallawahs are expected to play the same XI with no injury worries at present.

Barbados Tridents are in the third place in the league table with seven points from six games and come into this clash on the back of a 25-run win over St Lucia Zouks on 17 July.

Nicholas Pooran starred with the bat for the Tridents in their last game, smashing 81 off just 39 balls in a knock that included nine fours and four huge hits to the fence. Pooran's knock along with some tight bowling especially from Wayne Parnell and Ravi Rampaul ensured that the Tridents won without contributions from AB de Villiers and skipper Kieron Pollard.

With another week left in the tournament, both the teams will know that they need to keep winning in order to qualify for the knock out stages.
