Liverpool have been handed a double injury boost ahead of their clash against West Ham United on Sunday (11 December) after Joel Matip and Sadio Mane trained with the first-team at the Centre D'Alt Rendiment de Sant Cugat in Barcelona.

Jurgen Klopp has taken his squad for a team bonding trip to Barcelona owing to their lack of involvement in Europe and apart from the training sessions, they were also spotted watching the Catalan club's Champions League encounter against Borussia Monchengladbach on Tuesday (6 December).

Matip missed the Reds' 4-3 loss against Bournemouth last weekend with a minor ankle injury, but has recovered sufficiently to return to training. The defender had played the full 90 minutes in every game in their 11-game unbeaten run prior to the loss against the Cherries and the manager will be delighted to have his services for the visit of Slaven Bilic's side.

Mane, on the other hand, played and scored during the Merseyside club's recent loss, but was substituted midway through the second-half after it looked like he had picked up a knock. The Senegal international however, is not facing a spell on the sidelines according to the Liverpool Echo, after he was spotted training with the rest of the squad in Barcelona.

Daniel Sturridge, Philippe Coutinho and Danny Ings remain out injured and were not part of the traveling squad to the Catalan capital. The trip remained in Melwood to continue rehabilitation from their respective injuries.

Sturridge suffered a calf injury ahead of Liverpool's win over Sunderland and has missed the last three matches. The manager has not given a timeline with regards to his potential return. The latter two however are more long-term absentees, with Coutinho expected to be out until the New Year, while Ings could miss the rest of the season after suffering his second serious knee injury.
