Celtic are reportedly interested in signing Liverpool forward Michael Ngoo in the summer.

The 20-year-old, who has yet to break into Brendan Rodgers' first team, joined Hearts in a six-month loan deal in January. The England U20 star has made eight appearances in the Scottish Premier League so far, scoring twice.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Celtic manager Neil Lennon has been impressed with what he has seen from Ngoo thus far and is now considering an approach for the youngster at the end of the season.

The Daily Mail reports Ngoo would be available this summer for around £2m, as he is deemed surplus to requirements at Anfield and Liverpool are willing to let the 6ft 5in striker go for the right price.

The report also claims Lennon has identified Ngoo as a replacement for Gary Hooper, who has been tipped to leave Celtic in the summer after continued pursuit from a host of top English clubs, notably Norwich City.

Enrique: Bale's Dangerous but He Is Only Human

Meanwhile, Liverpool wing-back Jose Enrique hailed Tottenham star Gareth Bale as one of the most gifted footballers in the world but also insisted the Welshman was not unplayable.

Liverpool welcome Spurs to Anfield on Sunday, with Bale, who has scored 10 goals in his last eight matches, sharing the spotlight with Reds' talisman and this season's top scorer Luis Suarez.

"He's [Bale] one of the best players around at the moment and he's scoring plenty of goals. Before, when people were talking about him, they said that he would need to score a few more goals and now he is a scoring plenty," Enrique said.

"He can play as a winger but he can also play as a No.10. And of course, he's a really difficult player to play against. But every player is just a person. Gareth Bale is a person as well. Of course, he's a good player and a complete footballer," the Spaniard added.
