Reported Manchester United target Dani Alves will definitely leave Barcelona at the end of the season, according to the defender's agent.

Alves, 31, will be a free agent at the end of the season when his current deal at the Nou Camp expires and United are reportedly among the clubs to have approached him with an offer of a fresh challenge.

His agent Dinorah Santana has been locked in talks with the Catalan giants for much of the season, with reports in Spain have suggesting the Brazil international, who has maintained his desire to stay at the Nou Camp, has been seeking a three-year extension.

But after more talks with the Barcelona hierarchy, Santana has now drawn a line under the negotiations and insists her client will now see out the remainder of his current contract.

"The negotiations are over," Santana was quoted as saying by Marca. "Dani will see out his contract at Barcelona in the best possible manner."

Marca go on to add Barcelona did agree to offer Alves the three-year contract he reportedly wanted but with the provision he would only feature in 60% of the club's games.

In March, Marca reported the veteran full-back had agreed a three-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain, only for him to strongly deny the move.

United, meanwhile, are thought to have identified a right-back as a priority target ahead of the summer transfer window. Antonio Valencia has been converted into a full-back under manager Louis van Gaal, with Rafael da Silva's future at the club in doubt as he continues to be overlooked.

United were linked with a move for 23-year-old full-back Danilo as a long-term solution to the problem but the Brazilian has since signed a deal with Real Madrid.
