Manchester United transfer targets Marco Reus and Dante have ruled out possible moves from Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Munich respectively this summer.

Louis van Gaal has indicated that he is looking to strengthen in a big way during the summer transfer window as he prepares to challenge the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea for the Premier League title.

The Red Devils have been linked with various players in the recent months with defence and attack the priority.

The Dutch manager has prioritised strengthening his back line and has been linked with Mats Hummels and Joao Miranda from Dortmund and Atletico Madrid respectively.

However, Dante who was linked as the defender has struggled to nail down a regular starting place under Pep Guardiola, with the Spanish manager preferring Mehdi Benatia and Jerome Boateng, bringing his future at the club into doubt.

But the Brazilian international has quashed all the speculation revealing that he is extremely happy to remain at Bayern as they continue to dominate the Bundesliga, while also being impressive in the Champions League.

"I've been playing here for three years now and I know every single day how fortunate I am to be able to play for such a big club. I enjoy every day here," Dante said, as quoted by talkSPORT.

"Just think, I've been in at least the semi-finals of the Champions League and the DFB-Pokal Cup in each of these three years, and won the Bundesliga each time."

"It can hardly get any better than that. I'll always give everything for this club," the Brazilian defender added.

Reus, on the other hand, has been linked with a move away from the Bundesliga club since last summer, with top clubs from around Europe fighting for his signature.

The German midfielder, who has had a few disappointments with injury, was expected to leave Dortmund this summer following the club's disastrous campaign, which saw them finish in seventh place, after being in the relegation places at the start of the year.

Moreover, Jurgen Klopp has departed the club with Tomas Toschel taking over, and United along with Arsenal were ready to do battle to convince Reus to move to England.

However, the German international, who signed a new contract with the club in February, has distanced himself from the speculation and made it clear that he has no regrets signing a new deal with his hometown club. He is looking forward to helping his new coach and the club to return to the Champions League next season.

"I do not have any regrets," Reus said, as quoted by Goal.

"Why would I regret my decision to sign a new deal? I thought about it for a long time before I signed a new deal. I still feel exactly the same about it."

"Dortmund will be looking for a Champions League return next season under new manager Thomas Tuchel who signed a three-year deal with the club," the German midfielder added, as quoted by the Mirror.
