Mario Lopez and his wife Courtney have welcomed their second child, a boy named Dominic.

The 39-year-old Extra host announced the new arrival on Twitter, telling fans that he and his wife "couldn't be happier."

"It's a boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please welcome Dominic Lopez to the world," he wrote. "Couldn't be happier... Courtney and baby are doing just fine."

Lopez, who made his name in 1990s teen comedy Saved by the Bell, later added: "I am in heaven right now.... And in a bar. #CelebratingDominicLopez #BabyLopezNumber2."

The couple, who have been married since December 2012, are already parents to two-year-old daughter Gia Francesca.

In February, just two months after tying the knot in Punta Mita, Mexico, the proud parents announced that they were expecting.

They admitted that not knowing the sex was a struggle.

"She [Gia] wants to know if it's a boy or a girl," they said. "But we don't know because we're waiting to find out. That's kind of tough sometimes, we just don't know!"
