Kim Kardashian, Lewis Hamilton Dating: Reality Star Remained Single for Five Years to 'Completely Heal'

Kim Kardashian told The Sunday Times she wanted to 'completely heal' before opening up to another relationship. Her comments come amid reports linking her to Lewis Hamilton after years largely focused on her children and work.

The reality star filed for divorce from Kanye West, also known as Ye, in February 2021. HELLO!'s report describes a brief fling with comedian Pete Davidson as an exception to the period Kardashian characterised as five years single before her reported romance with Hamilton.

Kardashian, 45, described being single as a period she valued, rather than one she was impatient to leave behind. In her interview with The Sunday Times, she explained that she had other priorities and felt no urgency to pursue another relationship.

'I was really single for five years. And that felt great,' Kardashian told The Sunday Times.

'I could focus on my kids and projects that I really wanted to be involved with. I really felt no rush. Like, I really didn't feel empty.

'I felt like I needed my time. I wanted to completely heal and just work on myself. I wasn't ready to open up. I really wasn't even thinking about it. The universe works in your favour when you just allow it to.'

The Skims founder shares four children with Ye, whom the report identifies as 49. They are North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and seven-year-old Psalm.

According to HELLO!'s account, Kardashian concentrated largely on her family for several years following the end of her marriage. Her interview describes that time in personal terms, emphasising her wish to work on herself alongside caring for her children and pursuing projects.

Kardashian and Hamilton have known each other since at least 2014, according to HELLO!'s report. Their reported romance therefore follows a long-standing friendship, rather than a newly established acquaintance.

The account reports that their friendship became romantic. It also refers to months of dating rumours before Kardashian attended the Grand Prix in Monaco on 7 June to support the F1 ace. Hamilton later addressed her presence at the event.

'It's amazing to have her come this weekend and have the support,' Hamilton stated of the reality TV star.

'But, you know, with my friends, incredible turnout, just overall, the people,' he added.

His remarks extended beyond her presence at the race that weekend. While referring to the wider group supporting him, Hamilton also singled out Kardashian's ongoing role in his life.

'It's amazing to have good people around you and good people supporting you and she does that for me every day.'
