'Mass Effect 3: Operation Resurgence' - Multiplayer Event
‘Mass Effect 3: Rebellion’ Multiplayer DLC Leaked on Sony Website? BioWare

Details of Rebellion - a forthcoming multiplayer DLC for Mass Effect 3 (ME3) - were reportedly leaked by Sony Hong Kong's official Web site. The information was, however, removed soon after. Gaming Web site Kotaku notes Rebellion will feature two new maps, three new weapons and six additional character classes alongside new playable races.

A few days earlier, in an IBTimes UK report, we had come across rumours concerning Rebellion on the game's official forums; the information in that leak now seems to have been confirmed by Sony.

"The Rebellion Multiplayer Expansion opens two new fronts against the Reapers: Firebase Jade's jungle reservoir and Firebase Goddess on Thessia. In-game reinforcement packs now include three new weapons as well as equipment, consumables, and six new classes: Quarian Engineer and Infiltrator, Vorcha Soldier and Sentinel, Phoenix Adept and Vanguard. The battle continues - hold the line!" reads the message from Sony, as reported by Kotaku.

Meanwhile, BioWare's description for the N7 Challenge Operation SILENCER has a possible reference to the Vorcha becoming a playable race for ME3's forthcoming multiplayer expansion, asserts PlayStation Life Style. The developers have not yet officially announced the Rebellion DLC for Mass Effect 3.

Mass Effect 3's Resurgence Pack was offered for free on its launch last month. It too contained a selection of new maps, classes and weapons. Meanwhile, BioWare's highly anticipated release of the free Extended Cut DLC pack was announced earlier and that should be available in the summer. The DLC pack will focus on clarifying the ending with detailed cinematic sequences to join the missing pieces of the broken ending for Mass Effect 3.
