Miley Cyrus apparently wants to spend Valentine's Day with Liam Hemsworth. The former Disney star is hoping the Hunger Games actor will give a second chance to their relationship.
Rumours that the two have reunited started after they were reportedly spotted together in Australia – Hemsworth's home country – during the holiday season. The two were slated to have spent New Year's Eve together.
"Miley is looking into all the stereotypical love moments of the year as a sign for her future with Liam," a source told Hollywood Life. "She really is hoping and expecting Liam will do some grandiose gesture to show his love for her on Valentine's Day! Miley is all in on the reconciled relationship and she wants Liam to wine and dine her and make things official for Valentine's Day. That day will be a big game changer in their relationship."
Hemsworth and Cyrus started dating in 2009, when they co-starred in Nicholas Sparks's film, The Last Song. In 2012, Hemsworth had proposed to the Wrecking Ball hitmaker with a 3.5-carat Neil Lane diamond ring. The couple made their last public appearance together at the premiere of his film Paranoia at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles, before he officially announced his split from her.
"They are both interested in making it work again, but are treading water and taking it moment by moment," the insider added. "They both feel that it is inevitable that they will date again, but they want to make sure they don't fall into the same problems and pitfalls that ruined everything in the first place."
"They've been talking for a while to get to this moment and are happy to take things step by step. Miley has matured and knows that she made mistakes the first time around just as much as he did and she is looking to right her wrongs to benefit her and the relationship with Liam — her one true love," the source continued.
