Nexus S Gets Android 4.2 Jelly Bean Firmware Unofficially [How to Install]

Nexus S smartphone has been denied any further Jelly Bean updates after Android 4.1.2 release, as Google has ruled out any possibility of supporting further OS upgrades on the device. Nevertheless, the industrious Android custom ROM developers have once again stepped up to the rescue with the release of latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean upgrade for the smartphone. The latest Jelly Bean firmware brings a host of exciting apps with stock Jelly Bean features onboard that were earlier ported to Nexus 7, Nexus 10 and Nexus 4 range of devices.

• Ensure that your phone is rooted with ClockworkMod Recovery preinstalled on it. To confirm if your device is rooted or not, download and run the Root Checker app from Google Play Store. Once you have verified the device is rooted, just download and install the ROM Manager app from the Play Store.
