Nicki Minaj has been announced as the new face of soft drinks giant Pepsi. She will be launching Pepsi's new drink - "Pop" - according to Hollywood news Web site Perez Hilton.
The commercial is expected to premiere sometime within the next two months. The superstar has reportedly earned $6.5m this past year and will no doubt be paid a hefty sum for her services in this deal.
"You'll see the commercial probably in the next two months. That'll be a segue into a new beverage Pepsi has, called 'Pop,' and she'll be the face of the brand ... it's going to be explosive,'' Derek Jackson, the Glu Agency representative, who brokered the agreement, told Forbes magazine.
Minaj was 15 on Forbes' list of highest earning hip-hop stars last year... expect that ranking to skyrocket with a forthcoming UK-wide tour.
