Pink, Carey Hart Divorce Rumours: Singer Jokes That Her Kids Were 'Unaware' of Reported Parent Split
Pink dismissed reports of a split from Carey Hart as 'fake news' before the couple took their two children to see & Juliet on Broadway, offering the clearest rebuttal yet to the divorce rumours.

Pink dismissed divorce rumours about herself and husband Carey Hart as 'fake news' in a video posted to Instagram on Feb. 26, 2026, joking that not only had she been unaware of her own reported separation but that their two children remained equally in the dark. A little over a week later, the family of four made their rebuttal considerably more visible with a night out on Broadway in New York City.
The rumours originated from a People magazine report, published on Feb. 26, which cited an unnamed source claiming that Pink and Hart were splitting after 20 years of marriage. Us Weekly followed with similar coverage. People carries a widely held reputation as a favoured outlet for confirmed celebrity breakup announcements, which lent the story a degree of credibility it perhaps did not deserve. Pink moved quickly to quash it.
Divorce Rumours Met With Withering Sarcasm
In a selfie video posted the same day the reports emerged, the Grammy-nominated singer turned the coverage into something closer to a stand-up routine. 'I was just alerted to the fact that I'm separated from my husband,' she said, pausing just enough for the joke to land. 'I didn't know. Thank you, People magazine. Thank you, Us Weekly. Thank you for letting me know.' She then added, 'I was wondering, would you also like to tell our children? My 14-year-old and nine-year-old are also unaware.'
From there, she pivoted to wider media criticism, singling out the Epstein files, racism and what she described as the 'classy' performance of the women's hockey team as subjects more deserving of column inches. She also invoked her recent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nomination, in her first year of eligibility, with pointed frustration. 'Do you want to talk about my accomplishments, or do you only want to talk about my supposed demise?' The video closed on a note that was equal parts warm and weary, 'Fake news, not true. I love you all. Go with God. And trash news, you can do better.'
Her Instagram caption reinforced the message plainly, 'Like I always say. If you don't hear it from me, don't believe the hype.'
Some context is worth bearing in mind. Pink and Hart married in January 2006 and did separate roughly two years later before reconciling in 2009, after which they have been together continuously. The couple have two children, daughter Willow, now 14, and son Jameson, 9. That earlier split, however distant, almost certainly gave the latest rumours a foothold they would not otherwise have had.
Pink, Carey Hart Take the Kids to Broadway Amid Divorce Rumours
On the evening of March 7, the family attended & Juliet at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre in New York City, and Pink shared photographs from the outing on her Instagram the following day. In one image, she and Hart stand onstage alongside their children and Kandi Burruss, the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum who had been playing Angélique, Juliet's nurse in what turned out to be her final performance in the role.
The show carries its own significance for Pink. Her song 'F---ing Perfect' features prominently in the production, and & Juliet's official Instagram account drew out a lesser-known connection when it shared the photographs, noting that Pink's debut single 'There You Go' was written and produced by Kevin 'She'kspere' Briggs alongside Burruss. 'Did Shakespeare give P!nk her first hit? Technically... yes,' the caption read. 'The Bard works in mysterious ways. Full-circle moment at & Juliet.'
Pink is currently in New York City serving as a guest host on The Kelly Clarkson Show across a run of Women's History Month episodes. According to TMZ, she explained the family's cross-country move to the city as being partly driven by Willow's theatrical ambitions, so her daughter 'could study theater and experience more Broadway.' The evening before the Broadway photographs surfaced, Pink had also shared a quieter image to her Instagram Stories, showing the four of them together in matching black tops, smiling for the camera. Willow wore a Yale University sweatshirt with blue jeans. Jameson had on a black plaid shirt and khaki trousers.
