Katie Price Shares Candid Recovery Update After Brussels Cosmetic Correction Work as NTA Appearance Draws Concern

Katie Price arrived at the National Television Awards with a bruised eye and a bandaged chest after flying back from Belgium earlier that day following cosmetic surgery.

The 48-year-old former glamour model walked the red carpet at London's O2 Arena on Tuesday, 8 September 2026, alongside her daughter, Princess Andre. Her appearance, altered by swelling and heavy make-up, drew attention from fans.

Price had documented the aftermath of the procedure herself on Instagram Stories hours earlier, describing it candidly as 'correction surgery'. The appearance has reignited scrutiny of her decades-long history of cosmetic surgery.

Why Brussels Correction Surgery Explained

Price told her 2.7 million Instagram followers that she had travelled to Belgium after noticing an asymmetry in a previous breast augmentation.

'I went to Brussels because one of my boobs was still slightly bigger than the other,' she said in a video posted on the morning of the awards ceremony. 'They put a new implant in and while they were there, I said, go on, just put a bit more in both of them.'

She also revealed that surgeons administered facial filler while she was under anaesthesia, targeting areas she said had become hollow with age. 'He put filler in for me, obviously while I was asleep,' she explained, adding that the injections were placed 'under the muscle right into the bone'.

By Tuesday morning, she said the swelling had begun to subside, joking: 'I think the swelling has dropped so I look like a hamster and it's sore.'

In a separate Instagram post, Price said she had used CBD oil from Supreme CBD, a brand she promotes, while recovering from the procedure. 'I am in so much pain and have reached for my Supreme CBD Oil yet again to ease the pain and help me drift off to sleep,' she wrote.

A Bruised Debut on the Red Carpet

Barely 24 hours after undergoing the procedure, Price stepped out for one of British television's biggest nights, teaming a white shirt with lace hot pants, black tights and heels, her hair slicked back.

She covered the bandaged area beneath her clothing but could not completely disguise swelling around her cheeks and bruising around one eye, despite an elaborate make-up application by artist Made By Mitchell.

She was joined on the carpet by her 19-year-old daughter, Princess Andre, who wore a pale blue tulle gown for what she described as a deliberate departure from her usual style. Price said she had encouraged the choice herself: 'I said, Princess, go completely different... so go out of your comfort zone and be different.'

The pairing drew attention for the visual contrast between mother and daughter, while the appearance prompted mixed reactions online.

The appearance came days after reports that Price had decided to end her eight-month marriage to Lee Andrews, adding further attention to her personal life.

Price's Long History of Cosmetic Surgery

Tuesday's revelations are the latest chapter in a cosmetic surgery history spanning nearly three decades.

Price has previously said she has undergone around 17 breast augmentation procedures since her first in 1998, alongside six facelifts, veneers, a 'fox eye' lift and other facial work.

On ITV's Olivia Attwood: The Price of Perfection, which aired in August, she estimated her total procedure count at between 30 and 40, while saying she had spent roughly £40,000 ($54,000) on the work over the years.

Consultant plastic surgeon Gerard Lambe, a member of the Royal College of Surgeons and a spokesperson for the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, has previously expressed concern about Price's repeated cosmetic procedures.

Lambe has described a compulsion to seek cosmetic and surgical procedures as a form of surgery addiction and previously urged Price to seek support.

Price herself has acknowledged the toll of her surgical history in past interviews, telling Elizabeth Day's How to Fail podcast that she wanted to warn younger women about the realities of recovery.

'You only see before and after, you don't see in between,' she said. 'It's damaging to your body.'

She has also previously spoken of struggling to feel satisfied with her appearance despite the extent of the work already carried out. Whether Tuesday's Brussels procedure marks a final correction remains entirely Price's decision.
