5 Photos of Pink and Husband Carey Hart Defy Rumors as She Calls Out Outlets Reporting Separation
A cryptic New Year's Eve hospital post fuelled tabloid speculation — but Pink says she was talking about surgery, not separation

Pink says she's still married. The tabloids disagree.
The 46-year-old singer fired back on Thursday after People Magazine published an 'exclusive' claiming she and husband Carey Hart had separated after 20 years together. Within hours, the story spread to US Weekly, TMZ, and E! Online. None of them checked with Pink first.
'I was just alerted to the fact that I'm separated from my husband. I didn't know,' Pink said in an Instagram video, her tone dripping with sarcasm. 'Thank you, People Magazine. Thank you, US Weekly. Thank you for letting me know.'
Then she got pointed.
'Would you also like to tell our children? My 14-year-old and 9-year-old are also unaware.'
She Didn't Just Deny It — She Flipped the Script
Most celebrities stop at denial. Pink didn't.
'Or do you want to talk about some real news?' she asked. She listed the Epstein files, the 2026 Olympics results, and her first-ever Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nomination — announced just days ago — as stories worth covering.
'Do you want to talk about my accomplishments, or do you only want to talk about my supposed demise?'
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame revealed its 2026 nominees on 25 February. Pink appeared alongside Lauryn Hill, Wu-Tang Clan, and Phil Collins. It's her first nomination. She became eligible this year, 25 years after her 2000 debut album 'Can't Take Me Home'.
Five Photos That Counter the Headlines
Pink's Instagram feed and a TMZ photo gallery tell a story tabloids ignored. Here are five images that paint a different picture.
Photo 1: Pink's hospital selfie. She shared a photo from her hospital bed after neck surgery, writing about 'leaving behind all of my hurt in 2025.' Tabloids misread this as a marriage hint. She was talking about health struggles.
Photo 2: Pink's January 2025 anniversary tribute on her Instagram. She wrote: 'I've been with you longer than I haven't. You've been my one constant. You have loved me, hated me, and loved me again. I love our story no matter what gets written. It is gritty and sweet.
Photo 3: Pink's 50th birthday tribute to Carey in July 2025. She shared a rare photo of Hart with their children, Willow and Jameson, at their Santa Barbara ranch, plus a handwritten list of 50 reasons she loves him. 'You are the same person in every room,' she wrote.
Photo 4: Hart's September 2025 birthday post for Pink on his Instagram. He shared two photos: one of Pink posing next to a Billy Joel image, another of her with their kids at Madison Square Garden. 'Amazing mother, performer, wife, friend, business woman, philanthropist, role model, all around amazing human being,' he wrote. 'You are like a fine wine.'
Photo 5: Hart's Thanksgiving throwback posted 13 weeks ago showing the family at Day In The Dirt 2022, a motocross event. 'Such a great time w/ family and friends,' Hart wrote. 'Looking forward to getting back to seat time and gate drops in 2026.' Not exactly the words of a man headed for divorce court.
Where the Rumour Actually Started
The speculation traces back to Pink sharing a hospital selfie with a bandage on her neck (See Photo 1). She'd just had two discs replaced.
'I am leaving behind all of my hurt in 2025,' she wrote. 'This year was a doozy for all of us.'
She mentioned 'saying goodbye to incredibly important people' and spending New Year's Eve alone while her family went snowboarding. Tabloids read between lines that weren't there.
According to E! Online, Pink was referring to health struggles and personal losses — not her marriage. She joked that 'rock and roll is a contact sport' before explaining the surgery.
People Magazine ran its separation story less than two months later. The outlet cited unnamed sources. Pink's representatives declined to comment. Hart's team didn't respond. That silence became an 'exclusive'.
20 Years of Work
Pink and Hart have never pretended marriage is easy. They separated in 2008. That split inspired her hit 'So What'. Hart even appeared in the music video — playing himself, the ex-husband. They reconciled in 2009.
'People are always like, 'Why did you get back together?'' Pink told Redbook in 2013. 'Well, we weren't done.'
She's been blunt about what keeps them together. 'Monogamy is work', she told The Guardian in 2019. 'But you do the work and it's good again.'
Hart put it more simply in a 2024 interview with US Weekly: 'Marriage isn't easy, and it's always coming back to the table.'
The couple shares daughter Willow, 14, and son Jameson, 9. They met at the 2001 X Games in Philadelphia. Hart proposed in 2005. They married in Costa Rica in January 2006.
Pink closed her rebuttal with advice for her followers — and a jab at the press. 'Like I always say. If you don't hear it from me, don't believe the hype.'
She opened by saying the tabloids got it wrong. She closed by reminding fans to trust her word over theirs. The message landed.
