KEY POINTS

  • Los Blancos want the Manchester United keeper to replace Keylor Navas.
  • Zidane also plans to bring Jesus Vallejo and Marcos Llorente back from their loan spells.

Real Madrid have reportedly earmarked the additions of Manchester United keeper David De Gea and Monaco sensation Kylian Mbappe as the two priorities for the coming summer transfer window. Earlier this week emerged that the La Liga giants had beaten Barcelona for the signings of Theo Hernandez and Flamengo wunderkind Vinicius de Oliveira Junior but AS says that the two starlets won't come alone.

Zinedine Zidane had a quiet first summer at the Santiago Bernabeu last year after clinching the Champions League crown only months after taking over Rafa Benitez.

Real Madrid only spent €30m (£25.2m, $32.6m) to bring Alvaro Morata back from Juventus while Marco Asensio and Fabio Coentrao from their respective loan spells at Espanyol and Monaco.

However, reports in Spain are claiming that the coming summer is expected to be very busy at the Santiago Bernabeu both in terms of arrivals and departures.

Yet even though Real Madrid are still in contention for the La Liga and the Champions League titles, earlier this week different reports claimed that the club began their overhaul with the additions of two promising players like Theo and Vinicius.

Barcelona also wanted to sign the left-back but on Monday emerged that the Atletico Madrid starlet had undergone a medical with Real Madrid ahead of a move to the Santiago Bernabeu worth around €30m.

The France youngster is expected to serve as a back-up for Marcelo so his arrival will probably mean the departure of Coentrao somewhere else.

Meanwhile, Globoesporte reported that 16-year-old Vinicius had also decided to snub Barcelona to move to Real Madrid after Los Blancos offered €45m to Flamengo for his services. Yet, the Brazilian teenager is not expected to arrive to the Santiago Bernabeu until the summer of 2018 – once he turns 18.

AS assure that both deals are already completed but Real Madrid sill expect to add four more players in De Gea, Mbappe, Jesus Vallejo and Marcos Llorente ahead of the 2017-2018 season.

It has been reported since the beginning of the season that Real Madrid have earmarked the signing of new keeper to replace Keylor Navas as a priority. AS claims that Los Blancos are ready to renew their efforts to sign De Gea from Manchester United.

Meanwhile, Zidane also plans to make a second Galactico additions this summer to bring France sensation Mbappe to the club. Manchester United had also been linked with the Monaco starlet but AS insists that Real Madrid want Zidane's compatriot to reinforce even more the young core that they already have with the likes of Asensio.

The arrival of both players could mean the departure of some stars amid speculations linking the likes of Morata and James Rodriguez with a move to Chelsea and Manchester United.

Yet, AS claims that Real Madrid also expect to add two more players to the first-team by bringing both Vallejo and Llorente from their respective loan spells at Eintracht Frankfurt and Alaves.

The first one, who is only 20-year-old, would join the club to replace Pepe, as the Portugual international is out of contract in the summer while Llorente is expected to serve as a back-up for Casemiro in the holding role.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are yet to decide the future of other loanees like Borja Mayoral after the striker had struggled to make the impact expected this season at Wolsfburg.
