E-Cigarette Explodes in a Man's Mouth, Knocking Out a Couple of Teeth

Smoking cigarettes may lead to several health problems but trying to kick the habit may be even more dangerous as in the case of Tom Holloway, a Florida-based man, who was severely injured when an electronic cigarette (an alternative for cigarette quitters) exploded in his mouth severely burning his face, taking a chunk of his tongue along with a few front teeth.

Pope Benedict XVI formally inducted 22 churchmen to the elite circle of cardinals in a ceremony on Saturday. Pope presided over the ceremony held in St. Peter's Basilica. The new cardinals are from 13 countries- including three from the United States and Canada-Cardinals Timothy M. Dolan of New York, Edwin F. O'Brien, grand master of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem and former archbishop of Baltimore and Thomas C. Collins of Toronto.

Court Gives Internet Freedom a Leg Up

The European Court of Justice has decisively ruled out implementation of anti-piracy filter by social-networking sites to stall copyrighted content from being uploaded on their sites. The ruling involves a case filed against Netlog by a Belgian music royalties firm, Sabam.
