Straight Outta Compton is currently dominating the box office but it looks like producers haven't finished cashing in on the hood to Hollywood story just yet. According to TMZ, producers behind the NWA biopic are already planning a sequel following the rise of Snoop Dogg, Tupac and other West Coast rap legends.

Dogg Pound vet Daz told the entertainment site the movie will pick up where NWA left off with the working title being Dogg Pound 4 Life. The hip hop veteran claims that fans can expect an epic soundtrack as well as hard-hitting storyline, with no plans to omit the gang violence and its impact on the rap industry.

Daz adds that while music mogul Suge Knight will be included in the story producers won't be working with him. The 50-year-old Death Row co-founder is currently on trial for the murder of Terry Carter, 55, and attempted murder of Cle "Bone" Sloan, 51. The death resulted from a hit and run which followed an alleged argument on the set of a commercial for the film Straight Outta Compton.

News of the follow up comes days after Straight Outta Compton shattered box office expectations on its opening weekend. According to Business Insider, the film based on the hip hop movement in the 1980s took home an impressive $56.1m (£35.9m). It was initially projected to make $25m. Straight Outta Compton hits UK cinemas on 28th August.
