A visually stunning time-lapse video was created by Dimitri Goderdzishvili showing the beauty of Georgia's best stargazing locations.

The photographer and film editor filmed in his native country over a period of seven months, in 10 different locations, and includes more than 4,000 frames.

It was inspired by the astrophotographer group Geo-Astro, which Goderdzishvili belongs to.

Astrophotography is a specialised type of photography aimed at capturing the night sky and astronomical objects such as the Moon, Sun and planets.

Georgia is known for its Unesco sites and mountainous scenery. Its landscapes are varied, with low-land marsh-forests and swamps to mountain peaks and glaciers.
