A Hero Over London's Skyline

Londoners woke up to an extraordinary surprise when they spotted an 11-foot Superman sculpture perched atop The Shard, standing 300 metres above the city.

The breathtaking statue is based on David Corenswet, the newest actor to wear the iconic cape and step into the role of Superman. The installation, created overnight, gave Londoners only one day to admire the superhero watching over their city before he 'flew' off to his next destination.

Daniel Fulbrook, Head of Marketing for REM, which manages The Shard, described the sight as surreal.

'Superman has stood as a symbol of hope and heroism for generations, so it feels only fitting that he now watches over London from one of its most iconic landmarks,' he said.

Director James Gunn, known for his work on the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy, also expressed his excitement. 'To see such a realistic depiction of our Superman displayed on the top of The Shard is mind-blowing!' he shared.

Fans quickly flooded social media with reactions, calling the stunt 'incredible' and saying they were left 'in awe' by the lifelike figure.

Mumbai Lights Up for the Man of Steel

While Londoners looked to the sky, commuters in Mumbai were treated to a dazzling display on the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. On Monday night, the landmark's suspension cables lit up with images of Superman in his signature flying pose and the unmistakable 'S' insignia.

Warner Bros. India received widespread praise for the bold move, which transformed a routine evening commute into a memorable experience for thousands.

All Eyes on the New Superman

These jaw-dropping stunts come ahead of the highly anticipated release of DC Studios' new Superman film on 11 July 2025. Starring David Corenswet as the titular hero, the film promises to explore both the epic and deeply personal sides of the character.

The narrative follows Superman's journey from the distant planet Krypton to his life on Earth as Clark Kent, a journalist trying to blend in while carrying the burden of unimaginable power.

Rachel Brosnahan stars alongside Corenswet as Lois Lane, the fearless reporter and Superman's love interest. Nicholas Hoult takes on the role of Lex Luthor, Superman's most notorious enemy. The supporting cast includes Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, and Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific.

A Marketing Masterstroke

DC Studios and Warner Bros. have raised the bar for film promotion with these bold and imaginative stunts. From towering above London to lighting up Mumbai's most iconic bridge, Superman has been impossible to miss.
