Take Me Out
Caroline Mellor claims that her date, Jim Brown, stalked her for four months ITV

Dating show Take Me Out has been hit by another sex scandal after a former contestant claimed she was stalked by her TV date who was later jailed for possessing child porn.

Caroline Mellor, who was paired up with Jim Brown in January 2010, claimed she was harassed by the wrestler for four months - by phone, text and email - following their appearance on the ITV1 show.

The 34-year-old sales adviser told the Sun: "For a while we sent texts and occasionally spoke. But then I decided I didn't want to any more. I told him so but he just kept on and on, ringing and ringing."

"He was bullying and it made me sick and scared."

Mellor claimed that Brown posed as a woman on Facebook in an effort to contact her.

She said she was forced to change her phone numbers and disguise her Facebook page to escape the pestering.

The mother-of-one said that she reached out to the programme's producers, Talkback Thames, for help.

In September 2011, gym instructor Brown was jailed after committing a sex act at a sports centre. Police found indecent images of children on his computer at his home in Holytown, Lanarkshire.

Following his release, he was jailed for another three months in December for breaking parole terms.

"It's two years since the show and I'm still scared of him," said Mellor.

Talkback Thames insisted it had advised Mellor to contact police.

A spokeswoman said: "Background checks are carried out on each contestant, in line with industry practice. The welfare of our contestants is always of the utmost importance to us."
