Man Having Sex With Koi Fish Arrested After Hidden CCTV Footage Exposes Private Pond Assault
Police reportedly spotted the suspect wearing the same clothes seen on CCTV

A 51-year-old man in Bangkok has been arrested after CCTV footage allegedly showed him entering his neighbour's private koi pond and sexually abusing one of the fish, with police later tracing him after the disturbing footage was reported.
The suspect, identified in reports as Sutthichai Boonlert, was detained on 10 September after the pond's owner, Bobby Anong, reported the incident to police. The alleged act took place on 7 September outside a home on Soi Vibhavadi Rangsit 66 in Bangkok.
CCTV Exposes Alleged Koi Fish Abuse
Anong became suspicious after a sex toy was reportedly found near his pond on the afternoon of 7 September. He adjusted his CCTV camera so the pond was within view, according to reporting by Mothership and Khaosod English.
Later that evening, footage allegedly showed Boonlert arriving by bicycle, walking around the pond and removing his clothes before entering the water. He was reportedly seen catching a koi and engaging in a sexual act with the fish before returning it to the pond.
Anong and a housekeeper noticed what was happening through the CCTV footage and confronted the man. Boonlert reportedly fled on his bicycle, while Anong gave chase and was injured after falling.
Police Arrest Bangkok Suspect
Police later identified Boonlert and arrested him in the Chiang Kong, Lak Si area on 10 September. Reports said officers recognised him near the area and chased him after he tried to flee. He was reportedly wearing the same clothes seen in the CCTV footage.
According to police accounts, Boonlert admitted he was the person seen in the footage. He reportedly told officers that he had initially gone to the pond to bathe but became sexually aroused after seeing the koi.
Police said he admitted carrying out the act twice and also claimed he had previously engaged in similar behaviour involving other fish. These statements have been attributed to police reporting and should not be treated as independently established facts.
Koi Owner Had Suspected Something Was Wrong
The incident came after Anong reportedly noticed some of his koi dying with unusually bent bodies. He initially thought the fish might have injured themselves by fighting or hitting the pond.
According to reports, Anong said Boonlert frequently passed the property and had occasionally stopped to bathe in the pond. The CCTV footage later captured the alleged incident.
However, reports have not established any connection between the earlier koi deaths and Boonlert.
