Witcher 3 Trailer

Developers CD Projekt RED released a new trailer for Witcher 3: Wild Hunt at this year's VGX awards. If previous trailers weren't enough, this new video offers even more reasons for players to be excited about the title. The trailer looks stunning when viewed in high definition, so ensure that you crank the video quality settings up to full when you watch it below.

Apart from the breathtaking visual goodness, the towns, objects and characters seen in the game play footage have been designed with an abundant amount of detail. Players should expect a beautifully built open world that has got bigger and better, with expansive areas to explore and intricate details to admire. Visually, the game is bound to be a technical show piece for the next generation consoles, the PS4 and Xbox One.

The game is set for a late 2014 release and will be available for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It is easily one of the most anticipated next-gen titles to look forward to. It will continue with the story of Geralt of Rivia's, basically a mercenary who kills beasts and monsters. Even though he is weary from all the constant fighting, it looks like he isn't ready to give it all up just yet.

There has been a lot of speculation on whether the upcoming title will simply rest on the success of the previous title, The Witcher 2, or whether it would push the boundaries of role playing even further. Given that the franchise's success has relied heavily on distinct characters and storyline in the past, we expect the studio to rely on these aspects again to get ahead of the competition.
