WWE 2K17 full roster revealed: Includes new legends and larger women's roster

AJ Styles, Bayley, Asuka, American Alpha and Nakamura will make their WWE video game debuts.

Yuke's, Visual Concepts and 2K Games have revealed the complete roster of wrestlers playable in upcoming grappler WWE 2K17. It's the biggest roster in the series' long history, with 137 current and former male and female superstars.

This year's roster was revealed in a YouTube video (embedded below) running through each name in alphabetical order.

It includes 23 women (including three legends and Stephanie McMahon) and 45 legends (including those female legends).

Despite the huge roster, there are still some notable omissions.

Sgt Slaughter, Ted DiBiase, Roddy Piper and Batista are absent, but the most notable absence is the late Eddie Guerrero, which is sure to sting wrestling fans.

WWE 2K 17 is set to be released on 11 October for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360. A PC version will be released at an unannounced time afterwards.
