HTC's new series of flagship smartphones in the form of HTC One X, S and V has overshadowed the MWC 2012, almost taking away the spotlight from every other device.

The quad-core smartphone from HTC has almost everything to be the most loveable device in the market today. Among the three models showcased during the event, HTC One X is absolutely the top model of HTC's trio of One series. HTC has packed an absolute monster in HTC One X delivering extraordinary performance.
In terms of design, HTC phones are the closest competitor to Apple even beating Samsung many a times. And perfecting almost all the power house phones with super specifications and UI, HTC One X is going to be one of the dominant forces to stay ahead of the competition. The only other competitors HTC One X may face during this year include iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S3. Surprisingly the Ice Cream Sandwich operating system has jelled well with the phone and improvements to HTC Sense has made it a much cleaner, easier to use experience than the previous version.

The crisp display of 4.7-inch 720 x 1280 pixels Super IPS LCD2 capacitive touchscreen with 312 ppi pixel density and scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass empowerment gives it an extra edge over the other smartphones in the market. Tilted in any angle, the viewing angle in the phone gives out a good quality view of the screen. Considering the size of the phone, it weighs 130 g which is less compared to Apple iPhone 4S weighing at 140 g and is also as thin as iPhone 4S at 9.3 mm thickness. That is quite incredible for a 4.7-inch handset compared to iPhone 4S 3.5-inch display.

The iPhone 5 expected to come with 3.7-inch or 4-inch display screen gives away a lot in the competition as even Samsung Galaxy S3 most certainly is expected to come with 4.8-inch "full HD" 1080p resolution.

With Cloud storage partnership with Dropbox (25 GB of free cloud storage) along with 32 GB of internal memory and 1 GB RAM storage HTC One X will have similar advantage which Apple iPhone 5 is going to enjoy with iCloud service. Apple usually doesn't exceed their RAM capacity compared to Android phones while Samsung Galaxy S3 will go full fledged with 2 GB RAM and 16GB/32GB storage. Also the Samsung Galaxy S3 will differentiate itself with 32 GB microSD support as HTC One X and iPhone 5 will not have additional card slot support.

One of the noticeable points in HTC One X includes its camera as the camera is quick as HTC claims. The 8-megapixel camera provides stellar performance with 2.0 f-stop and ImageSense technology. The phone does have a super-fast shutter speed as well as the ability to shoot multiple shots per second to make sure you get the perfect shot. It is to be seen how the camera performance when compared to iPhone 4S quality and Apple surely will bring out a better camera feature in iPhone 5. On the other hand Samsung Galaxy S3 will have 12-megapixel camera to bring out a Canon like camera experience. Another area where HTC phone can sure leader is Beats audio technology. HTC One X comes with added Beats enhancement – now all music played through the handset can be Beats-ified, whether it's an MP3 stored on the phone, a song streamed from Spotify or even an internet radio broadcast.

In terms of processor HTC One X with Nvidia Tegra 3 Quad-core 1.5 GHz will have stiffer competitive edge as Samsung Galaxy S3 is expected to feature 1.5GHz quad-core Samsung Exynos processor and iPhone 5 will most probably come with A6 quad-core 1 GHz or 1.2 GHz processor. However swiping between screens happens as fast as your fingers can make it, while the phone ran at speed with several applications open at once in HTC One X. The portrait keyboard is spacious and easier to use with the big display screen advantage. The redesigned widgets and clearing of annoying extra animations compared to previous HTC phones has made it cleaner and more user-friendly and really easy to rearrange.

HTC One X will be featured in AT&T's 4G LTE network and more recently the phone has passed through the FCC with 4G LTE bands 4 and 17 in US. Meanwhile 4G LTE is still a distant dream in UK as LTE network is still in novice stage. It appears that the device will also be capable of connecting to the AT&T's HSPA+ 4G network as it has 850MHz and 1900MHz radios.

HTC One X is expected to arrive in April, both in US and UK. For Sprint the HTC One X is expected to be called the HTC Jewel. For T-Mobile the HTC G4X is expected to have a quad-core processor, LTE connectivity and Android 4.0 ICS. Vodafone has also announced that it'll be carrying the One X in the UK alongside the One S, promising both handsets "soon." And Amazon UK now lists the HTC One X as available for pre-order with an estimated release date of April 5.

Also Samsung Galaxy S3 announcement is expected in April during a special event going to be hosted by Samsung and with London Olympics around the corner Galaxy S3 along with HTC One X to make the most with huge crowd turn around. However Apple iPhone 5 announcement and release can be witnessed during October which will give ample time for HTC and Samsung to make the gains.
