A Ugandan Arsenal fan has been made homeless after wagering his house on the Gunners beating Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Henry Dhabasani, who has three wives and five children, made the bet with his friend and Manchester United fan Rashid Yiga in the hope that his treasured team would win.

Dhabasani gambled his two-bedroom house and, in return, Yiga staked his brand new Toyota Premia and his wife.

The bet was approved in writing in front of local leaders and fans in Iganga.

After Arsenal lost 1-0 to the Premier League champions, Dhabasani reportedly fainted at the final whistle.

The next day Manchester United supporters stormed the property and threw Dhabasani and his family out of the house, according to the Observer newspaper in Uganda.
