The Asos shopping experience will be even more rewarding from now on as the online retailer has announced it will be rolling out a brand new rewards scheme to its customers. With the launch of the Marks and Spencer Sparks reward card on the 22 October, Asos is capitalising on the rise of incentive-based shopping with their own programme.

After a six-month trial to 300,000 UK customers, the etailer has decided to take the rewards scheme public, starting with shoppers in the UK. There are no definitive details on the new launch, however the "successful trial" rewarded customers with five points for every pound they spent, which translates into a £5 voucher for every £100 spent. If it remains in this format it will certainly make those payday Asos binges seem even more justifiable.

The company has seen a great deal of change throughout 2015, with chief executive and founder Nick Robertson stepping down after 15 years and successor Nick Beighton facing a battle with falling profits.

However, Asos announced its full-year pre-tax profit has now climbed up 1% to £47.5m (€65m, $73m) following investment in warehousing, staff and customer proposition as well as expanding its click-and-collect arrangement with Boots stores across the UK.
