Barcelona manager Luis Enrique will be given a transfer kitty of around €60m (£47m, $67m) – plus the money generated by potential sales – to bolster his squad during the summer transfer window with a world class centre-back in Aymeric Laporte, a versatile forward like Sevilla's Kevin Gameiro and Denis Suarez, according to Mundo Deportivo. Meanwhile, the Spanish publication claims that Douglas, Thomas Vermaelen, Marc Bartra, Adriano, Jordi Masip, Sandro Ramirez, Alen Halilovic and even Dani Alves face an uncertain future at the club.

Top centre-back

The La Liga giants have publicly admitted that signing a centre-back to partner Gerard Pique is the top priority for the summer transfer window. Mundo Deportivo claims that Athletic Bilbao's Aymeric Laporte remain on the top of their list despite the fact the Under-21 France international is expected to miss the rest of the campaign after he suffered a serious injury in his ankle whilst international duty. Paris St Germain's Marquinhos and Chelsea starlet Andreas Christensen, who is on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach, are the other choices. The report, meanwhile, claims that Barcelona have decided to end their interest in Atletico Madrid's Jose Maria Gimenez and Everton duo John Stones and Funes Mori.

£19.6m striker

Luis Enrique has also demanded the signing of a versatile forward to serve as a back-up for the MSN trident – Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar. Barcelona officials plan to spend most of their budget in the centre-back so are looking for a more affordable option to bolster the attack with a striker worth up to €25m (£19.6m) Celta Vigo forward Nolito was the top target in January but Sevilla in-form striker Kevin Gameiro has emerged as the new top candidate.

Denis Suarez

Barcelona, as club technical director Robert Fernandez recently admitted, have also decided to activate the option to lure Denis Suarez back to the Camp Nou after an impressive campaign at Villarreal. The Champions League holders sold the former Manchester City academy star to Marcelino Garcia Toral's side last summer but kept an option to buy him back for around €3m (£2.3m) at the end of the current campaign.

Clear-out

The three additions, according to Mundo Deportivo, could also result in up to eight players leaving the club. Douglas, Vermaelen, Bartra, Adriano, Masip and Sandro Ramirez are the main candidates to be part of the clear out while Alves could also be tempted to move away by the Chinese money despite Barcelona would like him to stay. Meanwhile, Halilovic, who is currently on loan at Sporting Gijon, is expected to be sent out for another season to continue his development.
