The Big Bang Theory is at the risk of getting cancelled!

The show's contract talks have officially delayed the production of the CBS hit comedy.

Stars Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar have not yet reached a new deal with Warner Bros. Television and the cast has not returned to work on season eight.

While Warner Bros. is still trying to work out contracts, the stars have decided not to show up for work on the show's eighth season until their demands are met.

Warner Bros said in a statement: "Due to ongoing contract negotiations, production on The Big Bang Theory, which was originally scheduled to begin today, has been postponed."

The first table reading of the season was planned for Thursday, reported The Hollywood Reporter.

According to sources, Warner Bros Tv was caught off guard by the actors' refusal to show to work.

Galecki, Parson, and Cuoco, the actors of The Big Bang Theory, are jointly negotiating and seeking a hefty pay increase. They currently make $325,000 per episode, and are looking to bring their rate up to $1 million per episode plus a portion out of the show's back-end. Helberg and Nayyar are also negotiating together and seeking a sizable pay increase.

The Big Bang Theory is currently the top comedy on television and it just received a three-season renewal from CBS. However, if a deal isn't struck, the show might get cancelled. Negotiations have been ongoing since last September.

The news of the show getting cancelled have created a social media outrage. Fans all over the world are shocked to hear this and they took to Twitter to show their anger.
