Singer/songwriter Bobby Brown has opened up on a ruling against Nick Gordon in a lawsuit intended to establish who was legally responsible for the tragic death of his daughter Bobbi Kristina in 2015. As Gordon failed to appear in court twice in the wrongful death lawsuit filed by Brown's estate, he lost it by default.

The 47-year-old, in an interview with pastor TD Jakes [via People] said that Gordon being legally responsible for his daughter's death has given him "a bit of calmness".

Brown added, "I don't know the specifics of what happened, but as the judge has said, he is legally responsible. I know some things that happened to my daughter, but it's up to the D.A. now to do his job."

Although Gordon has never been criminally charged in Bobbi's death, Brown is hopeful and waiting for the DA to do so. He said, "Until then, just knowing that he's legally responsible for my daughter's death has given me a bit of calmness to waiting for that DA. There's a lot of strange things that will come out in the criminal charges against Nick."

The daughter of the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown was found face-down in a bathtub on 31 January in 2015 at the Atlanta home she shared with Gordon. She died in July after being in coma for six months.

The American R&B singer stressed, "My daughter was afraid of tubs because of what happened to her mom. So I know she wouldn't have gotten in the tub. I mean it's crazy because the tub wasn't even full of water. It had a dustpan in it, in the bottom of the tub."
