Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran: Hotel singer admits he still loves model after explosive night out

Their five-year romance came to a dramatic end in March but Loyal singer Chris Brown admits he "still loves" his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran.

During an interview with On Air With Ryan Seacrest, the 26-year-old addressed the recent incident at Hollywood's Playhouse nightclub which saw the r'n'b singer's attempt to reconcile with the model ending in an argument.

The Hotel singer told host Seacrest: "I'm going to be honest and be a man about it and just take it one day at a time.

"I can't promise anything and I can't jump over the moon, but it takes time for all wounds [to heal]. I take full responsibility for my actions and things that I've done in the past. I feel like it's just a time thing."

He adds: "I'm not a hateful person. Of course I still love her, but mentally right now, I think everything takes time. I just need to focus on being the best father I can be."

Tran, 27, ended her turbulent relationship with the chart-topper in March 2015 after it was revealed he had fathered a child, one-year-old daughter Royalty with another woman, Nia Guzman.

The aspiring actress announced their break-up via Twitter, writing: "Listen. One can only take so much. The best of luck to Chris and his family. No baby drama for me."

Many were under the assumption that the former couple were reconciling after they were seen leaving the LA nightclub together on 4 June, however, TMZ claimed Brown forced his way into Tran's car despite protests from her friends.

The publication later reported that the police had been called to the fashion designer's house after the Ayo singer allegedly visited her home in the early hours of the morning, shouting and banging on her door. No arrests were made.

In his attempt to turn over a new leaf, Brown is keen to be a good father to Royalty and hopes to organise a playdate for the one-year-old and other "young Hollywood kids" including Beyonce and Jay Z's daughter Blue Ivy, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's daughter North and Tyga and Blac Chyna's son King Cairo.

In addition to his father duties, Brown is gearing up for his newly-announced One Hell Of A Nite tour, kicking off in August, alongside Fetty Wap, Omarion, Kid Ink and Teyana Taylor.
