Atletico Madrid supporters have joined forces with the Spanish press to condemn Cristiano Ronaldo, after the Portuguese star was caught on camera elbowing Joao Miranda in Saturday's Madrid derby.

Barcelona-based newspaper Mundo Deportivo spotted Ronaldo elbowing centre-back Joao Miranda during his team's shock 2-1 defeat at the Bernabeu.

However, the referee Mateu Laoz booked the Brazilian defender for his previous tackle while the Real Madrid star didn't even saw a yellow card.

But the most surprising part is that Ronaldo's dirty attitude towards his club's city rivals is nothing new.

A YouTube Video created by Atletico Madrid fans has reviewed other Madrid derbies from recent seasons and, according to their images, Ronaldo has been lucky not to be sent off in some of them.

Earlier this season, during Real Madrid's Spanish Super Cup defeat against their neighbours, the Portuguese star punched Diego Godin in the face three times during a clash at a corner.

The referee didn't see the clash during the game but after a number of videos showed Ronaldo's attitude, Atletico Madrid supporters unsuccessfully demanded the Spanish Federation take retrospective action, without success.

Last season current Liverpool right-back Javier Manquillo suffered a long-term neck injury following a robust aerial challenge with Ronaldo.

Two seasons ago Ronaldo kicked midfielder Gabi in the face, and during the 2010-2011 campaign the former Manchester United star inflicted a horror tackle onThomas Ujfalusi.
