A leaked image of the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro has surfaced online, confirming widespread speculation that the upcoming device will feature a dual camera setup. The photo, reportedly taken at an indoor ski resort in Shenzhen, China, where the company's headquarters is based, shows the Pocket 4 Pro from the front with two lenses inside the gimbal head.

The dual camera configuration marks a significant departure from previous models in the Osmo Pocket line, which have only utilised a single camera. According to Gizmochina, the Pocket 4 Pro also appears to retain the touchscreen introduced in the Pocket 3 version, with the dual camera setup believed to be exclusive to the Pro model.

Osmo Pocket Line Success

The Osmo Pocket 4 Pro is expected to be the latest in DJI's Osmo Pocket series alongside the standard Pocket 4. Marketed towards filmmakers and content creators for its compact size, the Pocket line is believed to have revolutionised handheld cameras following the release of the Pocket 3. The cameras pair advanced technology with a user-friendly design.

The Pocket 3 has been particularly lauded for its larger sensor that captures more light and 4K video quality at 60 frames per second. Its 3-axis gimbal stabilisation system prevents shaking, making it ideal for motion shots. Many enthusiasts have also highlighted the Pocket 3's directional microphones and its ability to accommodate external audio accessories and smartphones.

DJI has marketed the Osmo series for diverse users and purposes, from social media creators and amateur filmmakers to professionals and outdoor enthusiasts filming everyday moments. Users who have filmed with the Pocket 3 have praised the stabilisation and image quality, particularly how images remain sharp regardless of conditions.

Rumoured Camera Specifications

DJI has yet to release details about the Pocket 4 Pro's specifications, including sensor information and the function of each camera. However, tech enthusiasts speculate that the device may feature a wide-angle main lens paired with a secondary 2-4x telephoto or zoom camera.

The dual camera system is widely believed to be the distinguishing feature separating the Pocket 4 Pro from the standard Pocket 4 model. The features may prove particularly favourable for those seeking more cinematic depth in their footage, instant lens switching, and stronger low-light performance in a compact form factor.

Earlier Release Possible

The surfaced images have fuelled speculation about which model will launch first. Rumours previously suggested that DJI might release the Pocket 4 first, between January and February 2026, with the Pro version arriving between May and June 2026.

However, the leaked images suggest the Pro version may receive an earlier release date. The leak hints that both models may arrive sooner than expected, though DJI has yet to make an official announcement.

Pocket 4 Receives FCC Approval

Rumours that the Osmo Pocket 4 may release first likely stem from previous reports revealing that the standard model has already obtained FCC approval. In November 2025, a listing, according to Gizmochina, included a model number consistent with previous leaks about the Pocket 4 camera.

The FCC listing revealed that the Pocket 4 may feature improved battery life, addressing complaints about the Pocket 3. The battery capacity appears to increase to 1,545 mAh whilst maintaining the same 7.7 V setup—an 18 per cent increase compared to the Pocket 3's 1,300 mAh. This increase translates to approximately 20 additional minutes of shooting time.

Other rumoured features for the Pocket 4 include improved night footage and a brighter screen. However, connectivity will reportedly remain at WiFi 5, and Bluetooth Low Energy will continue to be present in the upcoming models.

Expected Pricing and Market Position

With neither the Pocket 4 nor Pocket 4 Pro yet available, it remains unclear where they might stand alongside competing handheld models. The Pocket 4 is expected to be priced between $699-$749 (£550-£590), with the Pocket 4 Pro commanding a significantly higher price point, likely positioning it as DJI's flagship compact camera for professional content creators and serious enthusiasts.
