This penalty for Montpellier was one of the highlights from their game against Evian last night in a match which ended 2-2 and with a mass brawl. Ligue 1 leaders Montpellier went ahead just before halftime when Moroccan midfielder Younes Belhanda scored from the penalty spot.

But a quick equaliser from Thomas Khalenberg drew Evian level shortly after the break.

Despite dominating the second half, a swift counter attack saw Evian take the lead when Kevin Berigaud slotted home from close range.

Montpellier drew level six minutes from time as Olivier Giroud notched his 21st goal of the season.

But the match descended into chaos when hot tempers led to an on-pitch fight as Montpellier's Souleymane Camara waited to take a penalty in injury-time. As the teams brawled on the pitch, the referee issued four red cards, including one to Montpellier goal scorer Belhanda after he lashed out at Evian's Cedric Mongongu. Camara eventually took the penalty but Evian goalkeeper Stephan Andersen rescued a point for his side with a fine save.
