Emma Watson made a new style statement at the 2014 Elle Style Awards held in London, opting for a retro makeover that stole the limelight.

Watson walked the red carpet of the award gala in an 80s-inspired black layered dress featuring a huge bow on the hip.

The Harry Potter actress's dress also featured a cropped black sequinned T-shirt and a white under dress, which was hardly visible under the oversized bow. The dress was from Giambattista Valli's Spring 2014 Couture show.

Watson teamed her dress with a pair of black stilettos from Christian Louboutin and opted for her hair swept back to form a high bun. With bold red lipstick and no accessories except a Bouchoron and Catbird ring, the 23-year-old actress looked stunning in her ensemble.

According to the magazine, Emma is quietly carving out a career in Hollywood with compelling coming-of-age roles in films like The Perks Of Being A Wallflower and Sofia Coppola's The Bling Ring. The trailer of her upcoming film, biblical epic Noah, which features Russell Crowe, has already been watched by millions online.
