A plane caught fire on the runway at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida leaving seven people injured, while three were taken to hospital. An Federal Aviation Administration official told CNN a pilot behind the Boeing 767 noticed fuel leaking from the plane before it set alight.

A number of emergency vehicles were witnessed at the scene and the airport has been shut down until further notice. A spokesman for the Broward County Sheriff's Office fire rescue division told local news station WSVN 7 News none of the injuries appear life-threatening thus far.
