Overview

A win here for Rajasthan will take their tally of points to 14 and within sight of the knockouts where they are likely to be joined by Kings XI Punjab and the Chennai Suiper Kings. However, a loss here could be fatal, with three other teams vying for the final two spots and can close in on the Royals when the IPL resumes on Sunday. Their next two games are against Punjab and the Mumbai Indians, a series of tricky fixtures which may prove a deciding factor, with four games left to play.

Their last game ended in a loss by five wickets to Chennai where they took the game to the wire but failed to restrict CSK who chased down the total with two balls left in the over. Shane Watson scored a quickfire 51 while the lower order chipped in a few to take the total to 148. In reply, CSK were 121/5 with 15 balls left but Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja put on brilliant partnership to take them over the line.

Meanwhile, Delhi can afford to take some risks in this game, with their hopes of qualifying for the next round all but over. A loss here will end any chance they had of qualifying to the next round and towards yet another finish in the bottom of the table.
