Jane Remover is no longer listed to perform at M3F Fest in Phoenix after the festival issued an updated 2027 line-up, roughly a month after the artist said they would not play unless Temper City was removed from the bill. Temper City remains listed for the event, while M3F has not publicly explained the reason for Jane Remover's absence.

Jane Remover posted an ultimatum on Instagram Stories on 5 August. 'Yo, get that IDF band off the lineup or I'm not playing,' they wrote, referring to Los Angeles-based alt-rock trio Temper City.

The wording reflected Jane Remover's own description of the band and should not be treated as an established description of Temper City. Public reporting instead points to past comments from frontman Eytan Peled about his own military service in Israel.

Eytan Peled Previously Discussed Military Service

In a 2023 interview with Israeli outlet Frogi, Peled discussed his military service and said the experience influenced his confidence. He also described his time in the military as an important period in his life.

Those comments provide context for Jane Remover's criticism but do not establish that Temper City itself is affiliated with, operated by or formally connected to the IDF. The reporting cited in connection with the dispute does not document an institutional relationship between the band and the Israeli military.

Temper City, whose other members are Chen Kordova and Aviv Barenholtz, have attracted attention in 2026 with their debut single, 'Self Aware.' Stereogum reported that the song became a viral TikTok hit and reached No. 1 on Billboard's Alternative Airplay chart in July.

At the time of Stereogum's report, Temper City had released two songs. The group remained on the M3F line-up after Jane Remover's August post, leaving the artist's publicly stated condition unresolved when the festival later issued revised artwork.

Updated M3F Poster Omits Jane Remover

M3F released a revised 2027 line-up in early September that no longer included Jane Remover's name. Temper City remained on the bill, while Flying Lotus appeared in the position Jane Remover had occupied on the earlier poster.

The poster confirms only that Jane Remover is no longer being advertised for the festival. It does not establish whether the artist withdrew, whether organisers removed them or whether another agreement led to the change.

As of reports published on 7 September, neither M3F nor Jane Remover had publicly explained the circumstances surrounding the revised line-up. Temper City had also not publicly addressed the dispute. NME said it had contacted Temper City for comment.

That lack of an official explanation is significant because Jane Remover's August message presented their participation as conditional on Temper City being taken off the bill. The later poster shows that Temper City remained and Jane Remover did not, but the publicly available information does not establish who made the final decision.

M3F Fest is scheduled to take place in Phoenix, Arizona, on 5 and 6 March 2027.

Temper City are scheduled to appear at Austin City Limits in October. Jane Remover, meanwhile, is scheduled to continue the LIVE EXHIBIT North American headline tour in Minneapolis on 15 September.

The line-up change followed Jane Remover's publicly stated position on Temper City, but without statements from the artist or festival organisers, the precise circumstances of Jane Remover's departure from the M3F bill remain unconfirmed.
