White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt recently shared on X (formerly Twitter) a quote of US President Donald Trump on Truth Social about immigration enforcement, which has sparked a fire of criticism and political discussions.

Critics believe the endorsement is an indication of a harmful escalation, whereas supporters believe that her endorsement reflects a hardline position of Trump on immigration.

Earlier, she reshared a post of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and wrote back, 'Tim Walz does NOT believe in law and order.

'No amount of propaganda from his allies in the liberal media will convince the American people otherwise,' she said.

'Since President Trump took office, Walz has released nearly 500 criminal illegal aliens back onto Minnesota's streets instead of transferring them to federal law enforcement custody,' Leavitt continued.

Leavitt was told to 'f-ck right off'

Leavitt chose to emphasise the statement made by Trump, which immediately received criticism on social media. Some of them were outraged by her seemingly supportive stance toward the policies that they view as xenophobic or being harmful.

One user replied with an obscene comment saying that she needs to f--k right off, implying that her moves are a continuation of a series of damage control given that there are still attempts at damage control in political circles.

'Oh, f--k right off. It must be tiring having to be in damage control mode all the time, having to constantly rationalize the violence, corruption and authoritarianism of our current regime,' one user replied to her post.

'ICE executed a US citizen. Until you address that, the rest of your bullshit can get fucked,' an X user said.

One user posted a meme stating, 'The only thing safe in America today is the Epstein Files.'

Other people understood the message of Trump as a warning, and some indicated it is a sign that the federal government is planning more forceful measures like the use of the Insurrection Act.

'Setting the table for the Insurrection Act. He already knows they won't comply. This reads like a final warning,' another user commented.

It was mentioned that the language of the post requiring immediate deportation of illegal immigrants and termination of the policies of sanctuary cities was provocative and could be destabilising.

Many Trump supporters, meanwhile, commended the post, asking for the Insurrection Act to be declared now.

'If the Trump administration does NOT invoke the Insurrection Act, it will go down as one of the weakest presidential administrations in American history,' County Commissioner and lawyer Anthony Sabatini replied.

'I do wish reinforcements would be sent into Minneapolis to protect the ICE agents,' another user posted.

Sharing of Trump's controversial post by Leavitt

Leavitt shared a Trump message on the social media network, Truth Social, on Sunday night. The post requested the act of deporting more of the so-called "Criminal Illegal Aliens" and urged Democratic leaders, with specific reference to Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey to cooperate.

The message that Trump gave is a four-point plan which focused on cracking down on illicit immigration, terminating the sanctuary city policies and requesting Congress to enact laws on these concerns.

According to Trump, here are the four requests:

'1. Governor Walz and Mayor Frey should turn over all Criminal Illegal Aliens that are currently incarcerated in their State Prisons and Jails to Federal Authorities, along with all Illegal Criminals with an active warrant or known Criminal History, for Immediate Deportation.

2. State and Local Law Enforcement must agree to turn over all Illegal Aliens arrested by Local Police.

3. Local Police must assist Federal Law Enforcement in apprehending and detaining Illegal Aliens who are wanted for Crimes.

4. Democrat Politicians must partner with the Federal Government to protect American Citizens in the rapid removal of all Criminal Illegal Aliens in our Country. Some Democrats, in places like Memphis, Tennessee, or Washington, D.C., have done so, resulting in safer streets for ALL.'

This was posted only days following a much-publicised case in which Border Patrol agents shot to death Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old ICU nurse, during an operation in Minneapolis. The event has driven a series of discussions regarding the immigration enforcement policy and the involvement of federal agencies in local law enforcement.

Hardline immigration policy of Trump

Trump, in his post in Truth Social, pointed the blame at Democratic leaders who were involved in recent bloodshed which is attributed to immigration, claiming that their policies have aggravated the safety of the people.

He urged the authorities to deport all Criminal Illegal Aliens who are presently incarcerated, and to collaborate with ICE with the law enforcement agencies. The abolition of the sanctuary cities by Congress was also an issue that Trump requested and called them the source of violent cases involving illegal immigration.

'During the four years of crooked Joe Biden and democrat failed leadership, tens of millions of illegal alien criminals poured into our country, including hundreds of thousands of convicted murderers, rapists, kidnappers, drug dealers, and terrorists,' Trump posted.

'I won the election in a historic landslide, and republicans won majorities in both the House and Senate, in large part, because we pledged to seal the border, which we have done, and launch the largest mass deportation of illegal alien criminals in American history,' Trump continued.

'This deportation effort is underway, and in republican run cities and states, these operations are going peacefully and smoothly, because local law enforcement officers are allowed to work with their federal counterparts,' he added.

'For example, in the five republican run states of Texas, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, and Louisiana, ICE has arrested 150,245 criminal illegal aliens over the past year, with zero protests, riots, or chaos. Why? Because local police and ICE are cooperating and working together.'

The message that Trump stressed was that the immigration policies needed common sense and that this would assist in the process of Making America Great Again.
