  • Former Barcelona forward has a bargain £5.1m release clause in his current contract at Malaga.
  • Last week the Spaniard confirmed that he had received offers to leave the La Liga side.
  • Atletico Madrid, Villarreal and Sevilla are also reportedly interested in his services.

Liverpool and Everton have reportedly joined Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Malaga sensation Sandro Ramirez. AS claims that the former Barcelona forward has been approached by the three Premier League clubs but Villarreal, Sevilla and Atletico Madrid are also ready to battle to convince him to remain in La Liga.

Sandro, 21, left Barcelona during the summer transfer window after growing frustrated with the lack of playing time at the Nou Camp due to the immovable presence of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar in the Catalan's attack.

The Canary Island forward has proven to be one of the sensations of La Liga during the 2016-2017 campaign. The former Barcelona forward has missed eight La Liga games due to different injuries but still has managed to score 15 goals in 28 games, including six in his last six appearances for the Andalusian side.

Malaga are therefore desperately trying to keep him in their ranks ahead of the 2017-2018 campaign but his long-term future at the club has come into question since it emerged that he has a bargain €6m (£5.1m, $6.6m) release clause in his contract.

Tottenham were already linked with his services during his time at Barcelona amid reports claiming that Mauricio Pochettino was a big fan of his versatility in being able to adapt to all the positions of the attack.

Last month Sport reported that Spurs are now considering moving in for the forward following his sensational campaign in La Liga, adding that Sevilla and Villarreal were also closely monitoring the situation.

Sandro last week confirmed that he has received offers to leave Malaga ahead of the coming summer transfer window, but refused to name his suitors.

"I have a €6m release clause. I have some (offers) but I don't think about them now because I am very focused on Malaga," he said. "I keep the offers from me. I don't know (whether Atletico Madrid are among the suitors). I honestly do not know. I'm focused on Malaga, I want to finish the season well to continue the good streak and score more goals."

AS now gives more details of the saga, claiming that six of the clubs which have made offers for the Spaniard are Liverpool, Everton, Tottenham, Atletico, Villarreal and Sevilla.

The interest from Merseyside shouldn't be a surprise as both Liverpool and Everton are said to be interested in bolstering the attack amid the respective uncertain futures of Daniel Sturridge and Romelu Lukaku.

Sandro has excelled as Malaga number nine during the current season but he could also adapt to the flanks in the 4-3-3 formation that Jurgen Klopp has used at Liverpool since taking over from Brendan Rodgers.
