Liverpool will take on AS Roma in a pre-season friendly fixture scheduled between the two sides at the Busch Stadium, St Louis, Missouri, on Tuesday, 2 August. It is the third and final fixture in America, after which they will return to England, where they will face La Liga winners Barcelona.

Jurgen Klopp's side come into this fixture after a 2-0 victory over AC Milan on 31 July. Belgium international Divock Origi and Brazilian Roberto Firmino were on the scoresheet as the Reds sealed a comfortable victory.

Sheyi Ojo, who joined the squad instead of taking a break after his participation in the Uefa U19 European championship with England, was impressive for the Merseyside club against the San Siro outfit. His dedication should impress the German coach, who had given him an extended break, which the winger turned down.

So far, the Reds have lost only one match in the pre-season and that came at the hands of Chelsea. Gary Cahill's first half goal was the difference between the two sides as the Blues sealed a 1-0 win. It was the only goal Liverpool conceded in the 2016 pre-season.
