The delays follow a number of other chaotic incidents on the London Underground in recent weeks, including one where delays and overcrowding led to Tube stations needing to be evacuated.
At 9.30am TfL reported that a good service had resumed on the Jubilee Line but that trains and platforms may continue to be crowded.
A number of Londoners took to Twitter to vent about their morning journey.
Damn tubes... Particularly the damn jubilee line. #TubeAnger #TFL #Delays
