Atletico Madrid midfielder Arda Turan could be heading to the Premier League this summer after agent Ahmet Bulut revealed he is in talks with English clubs over a possible transfer.

Turan, 28, made 32 appearances for Diego Simeone's side in La Liga last term but appears likely to move on soon, with AS reporting on 23 June that reigning French champions Paris Saint-Germain were plotting a €25m (£17m, $28m) offer to take him to the Parc des Princes.

Premier League duo Manchester United and Liverpool have both been linked with the Turkey international during previous transfer windows, with the Daily Mirror speculating in August 2014 that United manager Louis van Gaal could have targeted him in the event that he failed to negotiate a deal with Real Madrid for Angel di Maria.

While Bulut neglected to specify exactly which English clubs have contacted him with regards to Turan, he did confirm all three potential suitors are of a very reputable standing, while also hinting that his client's hefty buyout clause could render a swift conclusion to negotiations unlikely.

Speaking to AS, he said: "He [Turan] is planning on leaving Spain this summer. He would like to play in the Premier League, this is the path he would like to see his career take. His departure from Atlético won't be easy due to his €41m buyout clause.

"I'm in discussion with three clubs, but I can't reveal their names, they are three of the best clubs in England and indeed in Europe."

In addition to revealing PSG's interest in Turan, AS also claimed earlier in June that AC Milan, with the help of private equity firm Doyen Sports, were seeking to sign him after the Rossoneri were handed a significant transfer budget following the arrival of investor Bee Taechaubol.

Addressing those reports, Bulut confirmed both PSG and Milan are tracking the former Galatasaray favourite, but that a switch to the latter will not come to pass due to their ongoing absence from the Champions League.

"Yes, it's true, both Milan and PSG are interested in Arda," he added. "The interest from Milan won't advance as they are not involved in next season's Champions League. PSG is a possibility but Arda has always been keen to play football in England."

Although the loss of Turan would undoubtedly come as a blow to Atletico, Simeone has already moved to strengthen his squad this summer with the capture of Luciano Vietto from Villarreal, in a deal believed to be worth in the region of €20m.
