Mariah Carey was spotted on a dinner date with backup dancer Bryan Tanaka on Wednesday (2 November), according to a report. The development comes on the heels of the Love Takes Time singer's split from her billionaire ex-fiancé James Packer.

According to The Daily Mail, the 46-year-old singer and the 33-year-old dancer were pictured enjoying their dinner date at the West Hollywood eatery Berri's Cafe.

For the outing, the songstress was dressed in a creme-coloured jacket, blue denim jeans and leopard skin heels, while Tanaka sported a blue jacket, black shirt, black pants and Air Jordans.

Following the split from the Australian business tycoon, Carey has been spotted with Tanaka a couple of times in Los Angeles. The duo were spotted trick-or-treating with Carey's daughter Monroe in Calabasas on Monday.

The Someday singer has reportedly been "putting on a brave face" after Packer dumped her. "Mariah [Carey] is traumatized by all of this but is putting on a brave face," a source previously told Entertainment Tonight. "She never meant to fall for James [Packer]."

Although Carey and Tanaka have been spotted a couple of times since her split from Packer, a source had told Entertainment Tonight, "The backup dancer and Mariah are just close friends...He is not a reason for any issues between Mariah and James. It's no secret that Mariah loves having a big entourage around."

Carey and Packer's relationship "imploded" during their vacation in Greece in September. Packer went on "some sort of outburst, which everyone heard", a source previously told E! News.
