The Mercury Prize awards take place on August 6 and bookies have been going back and forth speculated which of the nominees will win the coveted prize and £20,000.

Just a few weeks ago Nominee Adele was the bookies front runner with "21", however now it seems PJ Harvey is the favourite to win the Mercury Prize with "Let England Shake"

If singer-songwriter PJ Harvey wins she would become the first act to win the Mercury Prize twice, however she faces tough competition from Anna Calvi and Adele.

Harvey, who won in 2001 for Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea is in the running for her acclaimed album "Let England Shake" which has been installed as the 11/8 favourite.

The Mercury prize is judged by industry experts and is well known for selecting eclectic artists, who may not have enjoyed huge commercial success.

Other artists nominated include Tine Tempah for 'Disc-Overy' and Anna Calvi for 'Anna Calvi.
