Jay-Z and Miley Cyrus have emerged as the latest co-favourites to headline the Super Bowl LXI halftime show, according to updated trading on prediction market Kalshi.

The market has shifted repeatedly in recent months, reflecting continued speculation over who will take the stage at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on 14 February 2027. Kalshi's latest market currently places Cyrus and Jay-Z close together, although the figures can change rapidly as traders react to new reports and rumours.

The latest movement comes after other major names featured prominently in earlier speculation. Justin Bieber has also remained among the leading candidates, while Harry Styles has been linked to the role in recent reports.

However, no performer has been officially confirmed. Prediction-market odds reflect traders' expectations rather than an announcement from the NFL or the artist involved.

The uncertainty has also fuelled confusion online. A viral social media post previously claimed an official halftime performer had been announced, but that claim was false.

Roc Nation Remains Central to Selection Process

Jay-Z's position is particularly notable because his company, Roc Nation, has played a central role in the NFL's halftime entertainment strategy since entering a partnership with the league in 2019.

Roc Nation has worked alongside the NFL on selecting and producing halftime performances, making Jay-Z's name an unusual feature in speculation surrounding the show. He has not, however, been confirmed as the 2027 headliner.

The legendary rapper has also never headlined a Super Bowl halftime show himself, despite his long-standing relationship with the NFL's entertainment operation.

Cyrus has emerged as another prominent contender. Her name has climbed and fallen in prediction markets during the summer, at one point moving to within a percentage point of Jay-Z before subsequently slipping back.

The field remains wider than the two leading names. Bieber has repeatedly featured near the top of the market, while Styles has also been mentioned in reports concerning Roc Nation's potential shortlist. Recent reporting has suggested that Bieber and Styles may be among the artists being considered, although neither has been officially approached according to those reports.

Taylor Swift Also Remains Part of the Conversation

Taylor Swift has also been mentioned in connection with the Super Bowl, although the possibility dates back to comments from NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

In September 2025, Goodell said Swift would be welcome to perform, describing her as a 'special, special talent'. He also joked that he was 'definitely a Swiftie'.

Those comments were made in the context of Super Bowl LX rather than the 2027 event, so they do not amount to confirmation of Swift's involvement in Super Bowl LXI.

The 2027 game is scheduled for 14 February at SoFi Stadium, marking the second time the venue will host the Super Bowl. The stadium previously staged Super Bowl LVI in 2022, when the Los Angeles Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20.

With the announcement window approaching, attention is now focused on whether the prediction-market movement produces any credible confirmation. For now, Jay-Z, Cyrus, Bieber, Styles and other artists remain speculative possibilities, with the final decision still unannounced.
