Overview

The Micromax Indian Aces are the team to beat in the inaugural 2014 IPTL, as they remain unbeaten after four rounds and have extended their lead at the top of the table by five points following a thumping victory over the UAE Royals on Tuesday in Singapore.

Despite missing their top player, Roger Federer, the rest of the team members have stepped up and are consistently performing well. Rohan Bopanna, Sania Mirza and Gael Monfils have all been stepped up to the occasion for the Aces and remain unbeaten in the tournament thus far in their respective singles and mixed doubles clashes.

Meanwhile, the Singapore Slammers, who are the home team in this second leg, come into this match on the back of consecutive losses at the hands of the Manila Mavericks. They are currently at the bottom of the four team table and are looking for their first win of the tournament.
